Carrie McCard graduated with a BFA in painting, and, as a six-year-veteran of the Rita Hazan team, recognizes that coloring hair is an art form unto itself. During a three-year apprenticeship as Rita’s assistant, Carrie developed a broad knowledge and understanding of the business, as well as the skills needed to create glamorous, natural-looking color. On the floor as a full-time colorist, Carrie has developed her own signature style, providing her clients with customized color that always looks effortlessly chic.

“Hair is the first thing people notice about you,” says Carrie. “It should accent the way you look, not distract.”

Born and raised just outside of Philadelphia, Nicole Tresch had an unwavering dream of being a leading colorist in New York City. After graduating at the top of her class Nikki, as clients call her, packed her bags and headed to the Big Apple to achieve her goal. It was her ambition and dedication that landed her an apprenticeship at the Rita Hazan Salon where she trained under the instruction of Rita herself. Nicole has spent over 5 years traveling cross country for photo shoots with Rita, developing formulas, and sharpening her skills that now have clients reaching out to her.

A stylist for over 15 years, Hong Kong native Eddie Ngai has worked on runway shows for Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Hugo Boss and Diesel, as well as with a celebrity clientele that includes Renee Zellweger, Law and Order’s Vincent D’Onofrio and Jaime Pressly of My Name Is Earl. His editorial work has been featured in the pages of In Style, Elle, People, Glamour, Cosmopolitan, Self, Town & Country and Allure.

Eddie moved to New York City in 1994 and trained at famed salons John Frieda and Oribe before joining Rita Hazan in 2006. His affable nature has earned him a loyal following. “I’m constantly inspired by my family, my friends and my clients,” says Eddie, who, in his free time, enjoys scouring flea markets for quirky collectibles, biking and making origami. “And I just love seeing my clients leave happier than when they came in.”

Eugene Toye has styled hair for countless designer runway shows on the international fashion circuit, from Versace and Valentino to Dolce & Gabbana and Jean Paul Gaultier. His work has appeared in Elle, Glamour, Self, Shape, Us Weekly, Town & Country, Allure, Cosmopolitan and Tatler and some of his celebrity clients include Brooke Shields, Ashlee Simpson, Kim Cattrall, Christy Turlington, Elle Macpherson, and Deborah Messing.

Eugene began his career in Vancouver, training with the Vidal Sassoon Academy. He moved to New York in 1994 to work with Oribe; together they traveled around the United States and Europe for fashion shoots and runway shows. In 2006, Eugene relocated to the Rita Hazan Salon.

When he’s not working with hair, Eugene is a self-proclaimed foodie and global nomad. Having traveled to over 20 countries, he once biked 275 miles in Portugal.

With over 20 years of experience under his belt, Juan Carlos Maciques is a beauty industry powerhouse. His amped-up styling gives his clients a sexy edge with a modern glam sensibility. 

He draws inspiration from the runways each season as well as through his collaborations with other artists in the industry. He has styled hair for a number of fashion shows including such prestigious designers as Marchesa, Badgley Mischka, Adam Lippes, Versace, and Valentino. 

Juan Carlos is a frequent contributor to magazines and websites and has appeared on a number of TV segments including The Oprah Winfrey Show. Allure magazine has frequently listed him in their directory as best New York stylist. Graduating high school a year early to attend beauty school at 17, Kim went on to work in one of Los Angeles? most prestigious salons at 18 years old. She has worked with some of the world's most renowned hairstylists and has stroked the hair of some of the biggest celebrities.  
Kim has also been working under the belt of Danilo for nearly seven years and takes care of his clients on the road. She has toured with the likes of Gwen Stefani, Faith Hill, the Scissor Sisters and recently finished touring with Katy Perry. Needless to say, she loves styling. She has done numerous red carpet events, TV & Magazine shoots as well as weddings. When Kim is not touring she is providing her clients with styling methods that are modern, effortless and sophisticated.”

Beyond being a hairstylist at the salon, Luden Henriquez is actually a long-time friend and beauty school colleague of Rita Hazan. Nevertheless, he actually began his career 18 years ago working with Oribe before joining Rita’s team in 2003.

Recognized globally for creating sexy, voluminous looks, Luden has worked with such A-list talent as Christy Turlington, Julianna Margulies, Jennifer Connelly and Zoe Saldana. He has also worked on runway shows for Michael Kors, Oscar de la Renta, Valentino, Versace and Marchesa. 

“Through all my years of styling hair, I’ve realized that it’s not about the trend,” Luden says, “It’s about the individual.”

Before becoming a full-time stylist at Rita Hazan, where she has worked for five years, Myrna Palacios apprenticed under one of the salon’s brightest stars, Juan Carlos Maciques. Born in Ecuador, Myrna moved to the United States when she was 3. Her passion for creative but straightforward hair and her love of high-fashion editorial inspires her work at the salon, where she helps her fast-growing clientele adopt an everyday, wearable glamour.

Chicago native Nelson Vercher started his career as a hairstylist at home—by experimenting on his four sisters. Also, a major part of his work has been inspired by legendary architect Frank Lloyd Wright. As a young boy Nelson was so amazed by his architecture he would take the train from one side of town to another just to go look at his original homes in Oak Park, Chicago . Which is still a major part of his inspiration in his work today. An apprenticeship at Vidal Sassoon catapulted Nelson into the position of West Coast Instructor for the company’s San Francisco location. He later moved to New York, where he worked at such esteemed salons as John Frieda and Oribe, eventually settling at his long-time friend Rita Hazan’s salon, where his station is always buzzing.

Known for his modern, sexy “wash and wear” cuts, Nelson’s work has been featured in the pages of such magazines as Vogue, Elle, Nylon, Italian Vogue, L'officel, Wonderland, Blank and Harper’s Bazaar as well as on the runways of such designers as Valentino, Giorgio Armani, Prada, Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, Zac Posen, Y3, Phillip Lim, Costello Tagliapietra, Halston and Oscar de la Renta. New Orleans-born Sean James Decuers brings over 22 years of experience in the beauty industry to Rita Hazan. After training on the West Coast, Sean James moved to New York where he quickly climbed the ladder at such salons as Bumble and Bumble, Oribe and Warren Tricomi. He brought his skills to Rita Hazan in 2007.

Sean James has become a go-to stylist for some of Hollywood’s most beautiful women, including Jessica Simpson, Jaime Pressly and Cynthia Nixon. His creative visions have graced some of the world’s most exclusive and exciting runway shows, including Dior, Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs, Oscar De La Renta, Proenza Schouler, Carolina Herrera and Donna Karan.

Sean James is currently contracted as a celebrity stylist for Maybelline/Garnier.
